After the success of our #PlayMeHFX program, we created #PlayMeNovaScotia; a travelling piano over the summer of 2017 that celebrated the province of Nova Scotia and the communities within it while reconnecting people with public spaces, increasing safety, supporting local businesses, and building a sense of community.
One piano traveled to different communities in Nova Scotia, celebrating what we love about Nova Scotia at each stop by completing the sentence “I ♥ Nova Scotia because…” on the chalkboard-painted piano. Using the hashtag #PlayMeNovaScotia, each answer to “I ♥ Nova Scotia because…” was shared locally, across the province, and around the world. Follow the hashtag online to see the story of the piano!
